Technical Lead

The position is for a company which is from the Hospitality sector in Great Britain. Founded in 1979 as part of a family hotel business, the software they created was the first EPoS solution. To date, their product line-up has added a reservation system, a kitchen and inventory management module, a customer service and retention solution and others. An interesting piece of information is that the company invests 15% of its turnover in R&D.

What you’ll do
• Lead by example, help build and develop your engineering pod
• Support our product and engineering managers in prioritisation, scoping and leading delivery of product features in the exciting world of Future State Architecture
• Work as part of our engineering team to enhance scalability, performance, maintainability, configurability, and usability
• You will collaborate closely with other engineers and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
• Be involved in the entire life cycle of features, including idea creation, deployment, and longer-term updates and enhancements
• Assist in the maintenance of the technical back log in collaboration with stakeholders
• Work on a wide variety of different challenges across the product and codebase
• Support, mentor, and coach other members of the team

• C#, .NET Core, Elasticsearch, SQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Istio, CloudAMPQ, ASP.NET, Microsoft B2C SSO, Dapr and as we love to be at the leading edge of technology choices, Azure iOT Edge
• Azure services – including Azure SQL, VMs, cloud Storage, Azure Functions, Azure key vault, Azure Active Directory, Azure services bus
• As we are moving to the cloud, we’re big fans of automation using Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Other technology used throughout the company includes Git, Swift & Kotlin for iOS and Android, React, React.JS

About you
• You will be passionate about creating a product you can be proud of
• You’re good with secure, large-scale systems – You have demonstrable experience of high-performance, scalable, and secure software (e.g. SAAS products)
• An outstanding C# / .NET Software Engineer with at least 6 years of professional experience
• Having substantial experience working with cloud technologies, with proven dev ops experience
• Working closely with others will be second nature to you, collaborating closely with your engineering colleagues, along with developing relationships with our product and implementation teams.
